Vuurvlinder consists of the 3 singers Emily, Angelique and Hannelies. Atmospheric and very polyphonic they sing beautiful and cozy covers and also their own work: Dutch songs with piano and guitar. Live they are assisted by mult- - instrumentalist Marsha Matton. With attention and love Vuurvlinder captures her emotions in melody and words and writes about the salty sea, rough forests and how it really is between you and me.

Together they make many a living room concert an intense experience, sing the most beautiful covers at receptions, parties and wedding blessings and there is even the option of a musical cabaret performance

Here is an excerpt from an interview the ladies just gave:

We are three songwriters with completely different roots: "I (Emily) used to listen mainly to Alanis Morisette, Björk and Tori Amos, while Angelique sang very solid rock songs for years in her heavy metal band Soulstitia. Hannelies on the other hand listens more to Celine Dion and Natalie Merchant. All these influences can be heard somewhere in our songs, or at least the emotions they represent"
