Riley's plays for all audiences and always puts the client's wishes first. As such, Riley's repertoire is extremely varied. We really enjoyed Riley's performance! In consultation we did a sound check, after which we did 2 short gigs of 20 minutes. We were allowed to pass on our preferred songs ourselves and that worked out very well. Man what can they play! We enjoyed it from beginning to end. Everyone was full of praise and some thought that during the acoustic sung songs during the ceremony a cd stood up so beautiful. For our wedding I was looking for a band that, "just gone", could make nice music and entertain a wide range of guests. We had a festival style wedding with foodtrucks and so we had to find a band with the right relaxed feeling and sound. Cup of coffee and that's where my search on the internet started. Soon I came across the Rileys band regularly with rave reviews. Their demo movie was catchy, the music sounded great and I like friendly heads and that was more than okay too. Because of our busy schedule at home it hadn't been possible to see them live before the wedding so, on good faith (and after a fantastic communication), they came to do their thing at our wedding on Saturday the 18th of May... And how!!!!!!!!!!!! What a voice Melissa has...wow! And also the interaction with Timothy, Benjamin and Amir was fantastic. Their 1st set was played when the food trucks opened and our guests enjoyed a snack and a drink. She adapted their music flawlessly to this relaxed atmosphere. Once they arrived at set 2 they got the outside dance floor filled up in no time. For set 3 they had to move the fast stuff inside. Nothing noticed so very professional. And then that third set, the kick-off of the party ... what a success! Young and old stood together on the dancefloor... all with a smile from ear to ear. Finally she played Purple Rain. Riley's performance (for our wedding party) was great. They feel the setting perfectly; it's swinging and enthusiastic and they know how to play the audience very well. Melissa and Timothy played some songs together acoustically at the ceremony and this caused goose bumps, both with us and the guests. So pure and with so much feeling, really beautiful. With the 4 of them they played at the party as well as at the drinks and what a good thing it was. Everyone stood on the dancefloor and couldn't get away from it. Drinks were unimportant, there was and would be dancing. The band makes really good music from a wide repertoire. The singer Melissa really goes for 100%. Also the fact that they sang our opening dance live and we got a recording in advance was very nice. Everyone we spoke to after our wedding said, "Where did you get that fantasy bond?" The Rileys really brought atmosphere to our wedding. My tip: go listen to them live during a rehearsal. I am writing this review for the 3rd time now. Words can't really describe what a fantastic performance Riley's band gave at our wedding party. Beat all your expectations because it's just even better! As opening song we had asked them to play the song 'You're the love - Kenny B' for us. This request was received with enthusiasm and oh oh how well they played it! We had indicated beforehand that they could compile their own playlist because we had 100% confidence in them. We danced the blisters on our feet that night, I think that says enough ;). During the gig several guests came up to us with the words: "Wow, you really have a good band for tonight". Even now (a month later) they're still talking about it. The band really made our evening because everyone was on the dancefloor Not only was the performance good, also the contact beforehand was as if we were talking to our friends. Really great. All the band members were involved in our party from the very beginning. When we got acquainted in the evening we were immediately congratulated by all band members on our marriage. They made our wedding party unforgettable, the atmosphere was great, Melissa's voice was good and pure and the band members visibly played with great pleasure. We are married on October 21, 2017. A perfect day in which Riley's Band fitted just as perfectly. Almost everyone I spoke to on the evening gave a compliment about the band. Nice danceable music, very funky. Because of the good musicians and fabulous singing I can't imagine that you would want another band at your party, U2 can't build a party, Oasis has a fight and Prince is unfortunately not there anymore. Of those names by the way only Prince swings as Riley's Riley's Band has given our party a lot of extra atmosphere and energy. Riley's has performed during the party of our wedding (September 2017). The band is swinging and gets the whole hall with their enthusiasm. All songs are sung and played pure and despite the fact that they are 'only' with four people it looks like there is a very big band present. Lots of volume and a full sound. They don't turn their hand around either, to play many different kinds of music. Apart from making good music, they are also sweet, friendly people who like to think along with you. So we were able to think up and discuss questions about the technique with Riley's beforehand and we were able to have a relaxed day because Riley's gave us the confidence to arrange everything properly. A great band that we would absolutely recommend to anyone. Go to the living room concert or some other 'taste listening', this really is the start of a great party!
