Mark My Words – turn existing words into art!

Create an entirely new text without writing a single word yourself? During our Mark My Words Workshop, you’ll discover just how surprisingly fun that can be.

Each participant receives an existing text, such as a newspaper article. By crossing out, circling, and highlighting words, only the words you want to use remain. This naturally creates a short poem, a funny sentence, a unique message, or a catchy quote.

But it doesn’t stop there. Using markers, drawings, and shapes, you’ll then turn the text into a true work of art. This is how we combine language, blackout poetry, and visual art in a single creative workshop.

No experience with writing or drawing is necessary. In fact, the very act of searching through words that are already right in front of you often leads to surprising, funny, and sometimes even quite poetic results.

And of course, you get to keep your artwork afterward! The different pieces are also great fun to combine into a collage for your home, office, cafeteria, or school, for example.

The workshop is perfect for company outings, team-building days, bachelor/bachelorette parties, groups of family and friends, schools, cultural days, and events.

*We’ll bring all the necessary art supplies.
