It’s really nice when, in addition to all those friends, family members, and coworkers you invited, a long-lost friend shows up—someone you haven’t seen in years. You’ll notice it right away: the temperature rises, new romances spark on the spot, old romances blossom anew, and the party atmosphere intensifies by the minute as Peter Faber takes you on a musical journey around the world—from Caribbean beaches, Parisian terraces, old-fashioned Amsterdam cafés, Irish whiskey distilleries, South American dance floors, through Rotterdam’s harbor neighborhoods, across wild seas, and back again.
Peter can hold his own in almost any situation. Singing and playing acoustically, he moves through the audience. One moment a French musette plays in the background; the next, a spontaneous serenade
at the feet of a local beauty demands attention. If emotions threaten to get out of hand during a heart-wrenching ballad, he’s already launched into another cheerful sing-along.
Whether at a chic reception or in an Amsterdam pub, whether the language spoken is his native tongue or English, French, German, or Spanish. The choice is yours: you can let him know your preference both before and during the performance. Calypso, sea shanties, cumbias, tearjerkers, chansons, cabaret songs, sing-alongs, tangos, classical melodies, folk music, children’s songs, musettes, Tex-Mex, songs about life, ’60s music, original compositions, well-known songs with a fresh twist—you name it, it’s in the repertoire. And if you do come up with something truly outlandish, you’re always welcome to sing it for us!
A performance can be as long or as short as you like, ranging from one high-energy set of up to 45 minutes to two, three, etc., sets of thirty minutes. Or longer or shorter sets—whatever suits you best!
