Glennis has been involved with music from an early age. At the age of six she was already on stage. But she only really got into singing through "One Moment in Time" by Whitney Houston. Her mother gave her a single of this song and it turned out to be the common thread running through her musical career

When Glennis was eleven years old she was allowed to sing a duet in Ahoy Rotterdam with none other than Julio Iglesias! He had seen her in 'Gala for Kids' and he was sold immediately

At the age of sixteen Glennis participated in the Soundmixshow. Here Whitney Houston comes along again as a great source of inspiration for the singer. This participation ensured that she received a record contract

Her first single 'I'm Gonna Be Strong' was the first song that resulted from this. A beautiful song about loss and staying strong in difficult times. The general public also liked the song and she was soon rewarded with a place in the Mega Top 50.

Glennis took part in the National Song Festival in 2005. This turned out to be a smart choice because she won this competition which allowed her to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. That adventure was unfortunately less successful as she did not make it through the preliminaries

In 2010 Glennis received for the first time a BUMA award for best singer of the Netherlands

2011 was a year where the wind blew into Glennis' back. A participation in 'Beste Zangers' brought new life to her career. She sang the song Farewell of Volumia! and achieved great success with it. Within no time the single reached the number 1 spot in the charts and with it Glennis had her first number 1 hit.

The same year Glennis was named best singer in the Netherlands by the BUMA awards

Her second number 1 hit could not be delayed and in December she released the song 'Wil je niet nog 1 Nacht' together with Edwin Evers

In 2012 Whitney Houston returned as the common thread in Glennis' career
The Ladies of Soul formation was created. Trijntje Oosterhuis, Edsilia Rombley, Berget Lewis and Candy Dulfer stood together with Glennis in a sold-out Ziggo Dome

In May 2012 Glennis received for the third time a BUMA award for the best singer in the Netherlands.

In 2013 it was Glennis who took home the BUMA award for best singer.

Between 2016 and 2018 Grace performed a number of roles in musicals and could be seen in TV shows
Some successes:

Participation in 'The Big Music Quiz' where she was eventually the winner.
Participation in 'A good set of brains'
The role of Spirit in 'The Christmas Show'.
The role of Mary in 'The Passion 2018'.

The next big moment was of course America's Got Talent.
Glennis achieved international success with her participation in the talent show
Once again, a song by Whitney Houston was Grace's choice for her audition. She sang the song "Run to You" and conquered the hearts of the American jury and audience
Eventually she managed to reach the finals and received nothing but praise but unfortunately it was to no avail. Magician Shin Lim managed to get more votes and took the prize.
