A performance by Annick and Annick about 2 sisters who go through life without a mother. This play emphasizes family love that is unconditional and fantasy and reality.
Hard heart is a haunting play about 2 sisters who suddenly have to make it in a world without their mother. At her deathbed the sisters promise to always take care of each other. While the eldest goes to work every day, the youngest has to stay inside for her health. She fantasises about a world where their mother is an angel, where she no longer has a vulnerable heart and where she chooses for a 'hard heart'. Silently she dreams about what it would be like if their mother came to get them too. The mother's loss weighs very heavily, but they have each other: 'From sister to sister, until death do them part'.

The play is about unconditional family love and fantastic dreams, but also about responsibility and loneliness, about fantasy and reality. A story in which a lot of people recognize themselves and that leaves no one untouched. The poetic language and layered emotions keep the play captivating.
