Trumpeter Iwan Wiering is very experienced as a professional trumpeter at funerals and commemorations. After graduating from the conservatory, he worked for 12 years as a solo trumpeter and ceremonial trumpeter with the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee Orchestra. He is praised for his performances of the Signal Tattoo and The Last Post. Iwan has a very correct appearance and has a spacious wardrobe: black tuxedo, white tuxedo, dress suit, dark pinstripe suit, neutral blue suit, but also suits in bright red, pink or blue.

Basically, my reach is nationwide. You can rest assured that I will be present at the funeral or memorial service in plenty of time to determine the right place for the performance in consultation with the family, master of ceremonies or funeral director.
The trumpet comes into its own in church or crematorium, but certainly also in the open air at the cemetery. Usually the request is for the Dutch Signal Tattoo or the Allied Signal The Last Post, sometimes combined with a chorale or a verse of the National Anthem, but feel free to discuss options for request songs.
If sheet music is not available, I arrange it myself for the trumpet. In consultation with you and/or the funeral director, I then try to come to the right interpretation.
