In this era where everything is digitized, Marc de Roo gives art a modern twist. He now also draws caricatures digitally on a tablet so you can quickly forward and share them with your friends and family!

Drawing is not done on paper, but digitally, i.e. on tablet. The drawings can be printed, placed on a special website or forwarded to the e-mail addresses. The digital technique (with iPad Pro) has numerous advantages: you can always make adjustments, the drawing can be used directly for printing, for social media, internet, a presentation,... And a "making of video" can be made.

I think I was born with a pencil in my hand. At school I drew all the books and notebooks completely full. Until I started drawing teachers and noticed that my classmates thought this was very funny. Some teachers didn't like it so much, although there were some who were disappointed because they didn't draw... When I later discovered "Les Grandes Gueules" by the French Mulatier, Morchoisne and Ricord (the godfathers of caricature) a fantastic new world opened up. In 1985, I was allowed to draw a weekly cover for the French-language magazine Pourquoi Pas (What an experience when I saw my first caricature on the front page in the newsagent's!). Later, I signed for Special Télé (France), Ciné Revue, Parce Que, Teek Magazine,... Step by step, I later started to make a name for myself as a live caricaturist for events, meetings, walking dinners, fairs, incentives or private parties. For more than 25 years I have had the most beautiful profession in the world: making people happy with my drawings. The response and the reactions of the guests during an event are simply priceless.
