Music that caresses the ears and makes the heart jump. That's MAUGER, the brainchild of singer/guitarist Mauger Mortier, a nine-to-fiver with a steady job in the business world, who sometimes secretly notes patches of text during boring meetings.

Initially MAUGER did his thing as a singer-songwriter, but with Jan Duthoy and Jakob Nachtergaele - ten years of service with Absynthe Minded - and Matthias Debusschere (ex-Sioen) he found like-minded souls.

Less is more at MAUGER. The four of them bring their pure indiepop without frills, with simple but striking arrangements.

The singles 'Streets Run Dry' and 'Route du Soleil' could already be heard on Radio 1 and brought MAUGER to festivals and music clubs all over the country. With performances at the Gentse Feesten, Paulusfeesten, Leffingeleuren and in De Kreun, De Zwerver and De Grote Post. In February 2019 they released their debut album 'Sunday Competition', under the label of Mayway Records.
