As a saxophonist with pseudonym Saxolicious, Stefaan Daems from Tessenderlo (Limburg), specializes in the contemporary repertoire for saxophone, but he also plays traditional music with great passion and interest. You can hire Stefaan as a professional musician for concerts, live music (solo, in duo with a pianist, and in a live band) on a.o. parties and receptions. Also in combination with the local D.J. Stefaan can make the difference. Stefaan teaches saxophone at the conservatory but is also available for private saxophone lessons as a teacher and coach both for children and adults. His specialty is bringing music in an intimate setting tailored to the customer. But also at larger events and parties he knows how to bring the right atmosphere. As a solo musician he often performs during a breakfast, at small birthday parties, in a private spa, during a vernissage, at an open house, etc. Every time he succeeds in bringing the right atmosphere in the organization. Biography

Stefaan Daems started his musical studies at the "academy for music and word" of Tessenderlo and completed them at the "Royal Conservatory of Music" in Brussels. He obtained his diplomas in saxophone, solfège and transposition and passed the teacher training in the pedagogical department.

In addition to classical saxophone studies, he immersed himself in jazz music by studying at the jazz studio and following all kinds of internships with renowned jazz musicians. In 2011, he obtained the title of "Master of Arts in music" at the "Artesis Hogeschool Antwerp", the Royal Conservatory of Music. He took master classes with Jean Marie Londeix, Philippe Geiss, Leo Van Oostrom, Erwin Vann, Ben Sluys...

He has been teaching saxophone and chamber music at the "Stedelijk Conservatorium for music, word and dance" in Hasselt and at the Academy for Music and Word in Tessenderlo since 1984. Stefaan has played as a soloist with the "New Belgian Chamber Orchestra" and the "Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège".
