Hans was a member of several singing choirs in his youth, and in his family everyone played the accordion. At a young age Hans saw how his grandparents filled the dance floor with their accordion playing at weddings. Entertaining was therefore something Hans was brought up on.

From the age of 18, Hans started boxing professionally and, unfortunately, entertainment was put on the back burner. After ending his boxing career, Hans fortunately got more free time and picked up the microphone again 10 years ago. Hans recorded CD's with Ronnie Tober and Bennie Solo and has also played various characters in the past. Under the name Hans Carras, Hans also performs solo and has released several singles in recent years.
