Thijs was born in 1980 in Hardenberg. After finishing his education at the Grafisch Lyceum (Zwolle) in 2003 he worked as a graphic designer for several years. Then he started to focus completely on drawing caricatures, which he was already interested in at a young age. By now he has over 13 years of experience as a quick sketcher / caricaturist and has won several awards at international caricature conventions. caricature drawing is his great passion! Meanwhile, he has also been working at 'studio Vandersteen' for several years and is one of the regular illustrators at Suske en Wiske.

Thijs is a very talented artist. We hired him for a trade show and he was a great success. He is very polite and organised. He arrived 30 minutes earlier and his work ethic was amazing.
