Orquesta Salsabor is an energetic salsa big band with musicians from Cuba, Argentina, Curaçao and the Netherlands. The orchestra plays the great classics of the traditional Latin and salsa big band repertoire from Cuba by, among others, Machito and Benny Moré. Salsabor also performs the 70/80s New York Salsa Dura style, the grooving music from New York 'el barrio' by salsa icons such as Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colon and the New York Spanish Harlem Orchestra.
Orquesta Salsabor has been active on Dutch and foreign stages for almost 20 years. They can be heard at various music festivals and salsa parties. The orchestra has toured Germany and Poland, and has made several CDs: the most recent is called El otro sabor
