Mieke Giga (Stemerdink) was for years the leading lady of the Gigantjes. After a glorious period La Giga went her own way. A new band had to come; a Big Band!

Together with arranger/trumpeter Fred van Straten she founded "The New Swing Show", a 17-piece Big Band with a very own sound and repertoire: Swing, Mambo, Rock. Self-willed and inimitable sung by Mieke Giga.
