Mieke Giga (Stemerdink) was for years the leading lady of the Gigantjes. After a glorious period La Giga went her own way. A new band had to come; a Big Band!

Together with arranger/trumpeter Fred van Straten, she founded “The New Swing Show,” a 17-piece big band with a sound and repertoire all its own: swing, mambo, and rock. Performed with Mieke Giga’s unique and inimitable vocals.
