Vermeegen is cheerful, busy and skillful. This combination makes him a special presenter. As a leader of workshops he is a real booster, who knows how to make all participants enthusiastic. There is no need to explain his qualities as a football analyst, only a few have discussed more matches.

Already in the seventies of the last century Harry Vermeegen could be heard on the radio: at Radio Noordzee and VARA-radio. He worked as a journalist for De Tijd, Nieuwe Revu and Panorama. Vermeegen wrote two books about sports: 'Ballenjongen' (Ball-boy), about special encounters with footballers and 'Voetbal & Co' (Soccer & Co).

Successful duo
As a duo with Henk Spaan, Vermeegen created a furore in the 1980s with programmes such as 'Pisa' and 'Die Twee'. Together they were regularly in the Top 40, with hits like 'De gewone man', 'Koud he?!' and 'Tiet veur een pafke'. Nowadays he can be seen on RTL7 with the programme 'Mijn leven als een prof' (My life as a pro).

American culture expert
Vermeegen knows a lot about famous soccer players and can tell hilarious anecdotes. What many do not know is that he has been living in the United States for years and is now a connoisseur of American culture. As a day chairman and presenter he is therefore well versed in both Dutch and English.
