Duo Traverso is a classical duo that makes excursions to Argentinean and Brazilian music. The Tango Oblivion by Piazzolla from Argentina is also part of it. Duo Traverso performs classical music with Piano, Flute & Soprano Saxophone
Our repertoire is romantic light-classical, with composers as well: Fauré, Bach, Borodin, Debussy, Elgar, Hahn, Massenet, Saint-Saëns and Rachmaninoff. We also play a few tangos by Piazzolla and Nazareth
Duo Traverso is unique. At our own discretion we have made piano pieces and orchestral works suitable for our combination of instruments. Besides the flute (alto and soprano) Karin also masters the soprano saxophone, which lends itself perfectly to the light classical genre. Our interpretations of the Vocalise and Symphony no.2 by Rachmaninoff and Le Printemps by Reynaldo Hahn are very worthwhile!
