In 1988 Mia Gast started singing French chansons. She has a French mother and thus grew up with the French language.
Together with pianist Nanne van de Werff she built a repertoire that consisted for the most part of chansons by Edith Piaf
After a number of performances, including a performance for radio Noord (music melange), they met Wouter de Koning. He complemented the duo with accordion, which gave even more expression to the French atmosphere. This resulted in many performances, including for the Centre Culturel Francais. During one of these performances for the Centre Culturel Francais they met Gertie Bruin.
The current repertoire of Mia, Nanne and Gertie has broadened. There are now also chansons sung and played by Brel, Greco, Barbara and many others.
Ideal for an atmospheric concert, but also as recognizable background music at your reception or drinks meeting. For many people, this music evokes pleasant memories of their younger years.
La vie en rose, Non je regrette rien, Padam, the French song...

The trio recently performed in front of an enthusiastic audience in the Dorpskerk in Vries, in the Deventer Theatre during Festival Het Accordeon, in Paviljoen Sassenhein in Haren.
