The Ultimate U2 Experience

When you say U2, you automatically think of Bono. But at “ONE The U2 Experience,” a woman holds her own. Monique Hendriks-Kee takes on the role of Bono with total dedication—that’s how the Haarlems Dagblad opened its article about ONE’s performance at Patronaat in April 2018.

ONE The U2 Experience is the one-of-a-kind live U2 experience in the Netherlands. Since its founding in 2014, ONE has already achieved quite a few milestones. The band members—both men and women—have performed on the most renowned club stages in the Netherlands. The band has appeared, among other places, on Radio Veronica live. And most recently, at the Patronaat in Haarlem.

ONE The U2 Experience sets itself apart with a unique, authentic take on the U2 sound. Combined with an energetic performance and passionate ensemble playing, this ensures that the audience enjoys a genuine U2 experience. It’s no surprise that the band reached the regional finals of the Netherlands’ most prestigious cover band competition, The Clash Of The Coverbands.

ONE But Not The Same

Monique Hendriks-Kee (vocals), Emilio Bamio (guitar and backing vocals), Frank Feenstra (drums), and Romeo Doekhi (bass guitar and backing vocals) from the Zaanstad/Purmerend area make up this band and have earned their stripes in leading regional bands.

Most die-hard U2 fans were initially quite skeptical about a female-fronted U2 tribute band. But after attending a ONE live concert, they had to admit they were impressed. Many have said they’ve never had an experience like this at a U2 tribute show before.
