De Neven van Ed is an energetic rock band from the IJmond region, known for their passion, musical craftsmanship, and unforgettable live performances. What began as a spontaneous initiative at a small kitchen bar quickly grew into a beloved live act at festivals, festival weeks, and pop venues throughout the country.
In 2024, they added a Golden Earring tribute to their set, driven by a shared, deep-rooted love for the Netherlands’ greatest rock band. The result? Unanimously enthusiastic reactions from both new listeners and die-hard Earring fans.
Consequently, at the end of 2025, the band made a clear decision: to focus entirely on Golden Earring. They stopped performing their regular rock repertoire and, starting in 2026, have been performing only this
tribute, straight from the heart.
For over fifty years, Golden Earring left an indelible mark with classics like “Radar Love,” “Twilight Zone,” “When The Lady Smiles,” “Another 45 Miles,” and “Going To The Run.” Although the band disbanded in 2021, their music lives on. De Neven van Ed bring that magic back: with respect for the original, a flawless sound, and the raw energy that made Golden Earring so unique.

De Neven van Ed don’t do costume parties, talent shows, or commercial gimmicks. No acting, no made-up story. Just four musicians who have been huge Golden Earring fans themselves for years, have seen the Earring live dozens of times, and play this music because they love it unconditionally. They proved this works back in 2025 on the main stage of the CuliNESSE festival, where they shared the stage with big names like Anouk, Goldband, Flemming, and Claude.
In 2026, De Neven van Ed performed at a packed Patronaat Haarlem, among other venues, delivering a spectacular show complete with visuals and a full horn section.

What a tasty band! The fun and passion burst from their performances. I don't live near "The Cousins" but I once went with a friend who does live in the area. It was a party! And now I have already attended a few performances. Their repertoire is large and very diverse. Lots of "blowing along" to big hits from my youth. Fantastic.
