Rock band The Cousins of Ed consists of five seasoned musicians from the IJmond region. With a composition of different generations within the band and an undeniable chemistry between them, they bring a set full of covers that sparkle with new energy. Their repertoire includes rock classics by the likes of Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Guns 'N Roses, AC/DC, The Beatles, Queen, The Doors, U2, Fleetwood Mac and, of course, Golden Earring. With their energetic performances and flawless sound, they have conquered many a festival audience. No wonder their shows invariably sell out.
Since 2024, De Neven van Ed are also on stage with a special 'Golden Earring Tribute' show. Golden Earring has conquered the
world for more than 50 years with their timeless classics, including "Radar Love," "Twilight Zone," "When The Lady Smiles," "Going To The Run," "Another 45 Miles," "The Devil Made Me Do It" and "Back Home. Unfortunately, the band quit in 2021, but their music lives on in the hearts of many fans.
With this project, Ed Cousins will pay a fitting tribute to Golden Earring's extensive legacy. They will not only play the famous hits, but also some lesser known gems from the Earring repertoire that true Earring fans will appreciate. In short, a feast of recognition where the energy splashes from!
The first shows of De Neven van Ed: Golden Earring Tribute were received with great enthusiasm by the audience and the reactions were unanimously praising. This led to the fact that De Neven van Ed will be on the main stage of festival CuliNESSE in 2025 with their Golden Earring Tribute. With this they will enter the same stage as big names like Anouk, Goldband, Flemming, Claude and La Fuente.

What a tasty band! The fun and passion burst from their performances. I don't live near "The Cousins" but I once went with a friend who does live in the area. It was a party! And now I have already attended a few performances. Their repertoire is large and very diverse. Lots of "blowing along" to big hits from my youth. Fantastic.
