Within the fireworks industry there is a longstanding demand for fireworks that are less harmful to the environment for humans, flora and fauna. In cooperation with our Spanish partner we started a development, and from now on we from Dream Fireworks are official supplier of a line of fireworks with a much lower environmental impact than traditional fireworks: EcoColor fireworks.

In fireworks various chemicals are used which cause the emission of the effects and the colours in the fireworks. When burning fireworks heavy metals like lead, barium and chrome are released. Other harmful substances are also released such as chlorides, dioxides, smoke and fine dust, carbon monoxide and nitrogen and sulphur oxides.
In the production of EcoColor fireworks the use of these heavy metals is replaced by the use of non-toxic substances such as lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium and caesium. This results in red, orange, violet, purple and pink effects.

For a long time it has been difficult to produce the colours green and white without the use of heavy metals, but for a short time now it has also been possible to produce these colours in a less environmentally damaging way. At this moment almost all colours of the rainbow can be supplied as EcoColor.

Please keep in mind that the application for a permit for small fireworks takes about 2 weeks and this can go up to 14 weeks for a large professional show. For a small show we use a safety distance from 40 meters to the public, this means 80 meters in a circle. For a big professional show we apply a safety distance from 120 meters to the public, this means 240 meters in a circle.

For locations where a safety distance of 40 meters is not possible, such as on stages, we have developed special fireworks in cooperation with our partner in Spain, which are tested and approved to be used at short distances (from 2 meters).
