This spectacular dance with wooden sticks, is a symbolic stick fight to the rhythm of the Brazilian percussion instruments. Each time two players rhythmically beat the sticks against each other, following the rousing rhythm of the drums. With different attack and defence variations, maculele guarantees spectacle. ! Maculele gives a lot of joy and is a real party! Like capoeira, maculele was a form of martial art, which was hidden in a dance. This way the slaves could practice while the slave owners thought they were celebrating. Maculele was mainly shown at the end of the sugar cane harvest. !
The participants use 30 cm long sticks during this ritual that symbolize weapons. Let yourself be carried away to the rhythm of maculele and experience that this festive martial dance really makes everyone happy.

The price is indicated for a workshop for up to 25 people. The price for an extra person is €17,50.
