Barrel organ Tony makes himself unique by not being like any other barrel organ. Tony is stuck on a truck which makes it possible to travel further and faster. Tony has been all over the country with as a highlight of the RTL-program 'Gek op Wielen' (Crazy on Wheels)

The Tony owes her name to the builder's wife;
mr. Wim Minning. The organ has been playing in Rotterdam for the past 20 years and got another owner in October 2005 with Huizen (N.H.) as its base. After the Tony came into our possession, we had a vibraton built and placed it in the belly. This gives the organ a different sound in some music passages.

To give the organ a nostalgic atmosphere, it was placed on a Renault Gulette from 1953. After a long search, one was found in France. Unfortunately the car turned out to be too short for the Tony. The Gulette was sawn in a very professional way and lengthened by 1.5 meters. After that the car was approved by the RDW and provided with a license plate. Again in the nostalgic atmosphere, dark blue license plates were chosen.

the trickster engineReally old-fashioned is turning by hand. Unfortunately this is almost not doing so we chose a 1 cylinder listermotor. This "machine" from 1932 turns the organ wheel with its 550 rpm with a canvas band. To be sure there is also an electric motor placed so we are always assured of music...

We have a lot of fun with this organ and hope you have it too. Relive old times.

There was hope to have the organ played regularly in and around the centre of Huizen, but the Congregation did not give permission. We did get permission in the harbour area near the Kalkovens. If you would like to hear the organ, we can be of service there.

In short, there where it is cozy.
