The Sjonnies have become a fixture on the Dutch party circuit. Actually, the band has only highlights. Their first single "Do you dance all night with me?" immediately became a big hit and their first album "Fresh fish and lingerie" reached the highest regions of the album top-100. Meanwhile, the band has 5 albums and about thirty singles to their name, of which "Annemarie", "Swimming without panties", and "My bike has been nicked" are probably the best known.

Founded in 1991, De Sjonnies have become a fixture on the Dutch party circuit. Actually, the band has only highlights. Their first single "Do you dance all night with me?" immediately became a big hit and their first album "Fresh fish and lingerie" reached the highest regions of the album top-100. Meanwhile, the band has 5 albums and about thirty singles to their name, of which "Annemarie", "Swimming without panties", and "My bike has been nicked" are probably the best known.

But even more than their record successes, the band owes its reputation to the live performances. No other band in the Netherlands knows how to turn the venue upside down like De Sjonnies in such a short time. For years the heart of the band has been formed by members of the first hour Friso Ruysdael (bass player and man of ideas) and Konstantijn Ruysdael (guitarist, lyricist and producer). The original singer Ronnie Ruysdael opted for a solo career in 2010; in 2014 the two remaining Sjonnies together with Bennie Solo will perform a completely renewed show based on the highly recognizable, widely trusted Sjonnies sound. Old-fashioned fun!

And what's also nice: The Sjonnies are not only the nicest band, they also happen to have the nicest audience in the Netherlands. An audience you want to belong to. The band has also been a certainty for pub owners and festival organisations for years, especially because every performance is guaranteed beer turnover-proof. You must have seen this band to be able to talk about it. A concert by De Sjonnies is an experience, the best (own) party numbers are combined with a perfect humorous live show.
