Hiparican Martijn Hoogstra is active in teaching and giving workshops about Djembe, West African percussion. His passion for West African music grew in the early 90s. Previously he played percussion in music schools, wind orchestras and later drums in various bands. Meanwhile, since 2004 he is self-employed in teaching West African percussion.
The group size of workshops varies from 5 to 100 people.
He gives djembé lessons in the region Rhenen, Ede, Veenendaal, Wageningen, Arnhem and Bemmel. Lessons at home are also possible. He gives workshops throughout the Netherlands. These take place at various locations. Think of a workshop tailored to:

associations, foundations or institutions,
children, children's parties

friends weekends,
bachelor parties, family parties
