Tessa is a classically trained trumpet player and has many special performances to her name. Are you looking for a solo trumpet performance, an addition to an already existing programming or maybe you want to give someone a trumpet lesson as a present? Then Tessa van Genderen is the right place for you.

Tessa van Genderen (1993) grew up in Zaltbommel and started recorder lessons at the age of 7. After two years she switched to the bugle when she became a member of Fanfare Association Juliana-Concordia from Gameren and Nederhemert (Gelderland). She took lessons with several teachers, among them Bert Langerler. Next to fanfare orchestras she also played and sang in the band Tjom. In 2010 Tessa started her preparatory studies at the Fontys Conservatoire in Tilburg and in 2012 she started a bachelor classical trumpet at HKU Utrecht Conservatoire with Arto Hoornweg, trumpeter of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. During her studies Tessa took lessons and master classes with Willem van der Vliet and Roy Poper, among others. She also went to America in the summer of 2014 and 2016 to follow the ten-day master class by Roy Poper and Arto Hoornweg, which will be given at the Oberlin Conservatoire in Ohio. In 2015 Tessa played her first trumpet in the Dutch Student Orchestra. She is also a member of the Utrecht Student Concert. In addition to classical music, Tessa follows the jazz minor of Angelo Verploegen and is engaged in singing and, since January 2016, in electronic music. Tessa has been active as a teacher since the age of eighteen. She currently teaches at Fanfare Association Vriendenkring in Westbroek.
