Marc Huynen studied at the conservatories of Maastricht (jazz) and Hilversum (lead trumpet). He followed big band clinics with Jerry van Rooyen, Peter Herbolzheimer, Rob Pronk, Vince Mendoza, John Clayton, Bill Holman and trumpet workshops with Ack van Rooyen and Andy Haderer.
He is also a trumpet teacher at the music schools of Heerlen, Maastricht and Aachen where he is the musical leader of the Kumulus big band and Kumulus Leerorkest. Furthermore he is co-founder and musical leader of the Mo'Jonesbigband (a big band project with singer Mo'Jones ) and the Kidsbigband the "Vitzkids".
