A heartwarming, interactive performance in which the audience is invited to open their hearts to a stranger: Be adventurous and go on a blind date under a giant skirt!

"Heat Attack!" is a performance/installation that preaches love: The
audience is invited to have a conversation with a stranger.
As a messenger of love, the woman in the enormous skirt sends the Half Hearts out toward the
audience. Separately, they set out to find someone to recruit for a
meeting with a stranger. The person who is chosen is asked a heartfelt
question: What fills your heart? Or: What is your heart’s desire?
If they’re willing to chat further about this with a stranger, they’re given the card with the question. The guests are each escorted by their Half Heart to one of
the two openings in the dress, which opens with a zipper. Then they
step inside alone and see each other for the first time. The skirt is intimately and atmospherically
decorated, soft music plays, there are cushions, and there’s a small table where the two
guests sit across from each other.
The lady at the top of the dress slides down like a marionette to welcome her guests
and offer them a drink: “Your cards fit together perfectly
and form a single heart.” Her guests continue their candid conversation, and
the red lady climbs back up. To help the introduction along,
the two guests can take turns drawing cards with questions for each other from the box
sitting on the table between them. At one point, the lady descends from above again
to “bless” the encounter between her visitors (and hearts are scattered), after which
they are caught again by the Half Hearts.
The main goal of this act is for two strangers to meet and get to
know each other. This way, you have a conversation with someone you might not normally
approach or speak to. The most beautiful outcome is a loving bond that forms between two
people. Spread the love!
The Red Queen holds a sign that reads: Heart Attack! When her two
soulmates begin showering the audience with hearts.*
* The performance also works beautifully in the dark. The installation is then illuminated from
the outside and features lit elements such as the sign. When the dress has visitors,
the interior lighting also turns on: This way, the audience outside sees a shadow play of what’s
happening inside the skirt.
