VELDMAN Vintage Project takes you on an enchanting journey back to the glory years of the 70's. Led by veteran singer-guitarist Gerrit Veldman, the band embraces this period with a profound passion for the music of legendary artists. From the blues rock of Jimi Hendrix to the timeless hits of The Rolling Stones, and from the psychedelic grooves of The Doors to the southern rock of the Marshall Tucker band, every song is performed with skill and dedication.
But it goes
beyond just the big names; VELDMAN Vintage Project also embraces the heritage of artists such as Rory Gallagher, The Beatles and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, who shaped the musical landscape of the era. The band's goal is not just to play these songs, but to interpret them in an authentic and impressive way, giving the audience a truly nostalgic experience.
Gerrit Veldman, known for his outstanding guitar playing and soulful voice, is joined by a tight rhythm section consisting of bassist Tenny Tahamata and drummer Mathieu van Uden. This collaboration began in other musical contexts and grew into the VELDMAN Vintage Project, which was also joined by keyboardist Roland Bakker, known for his european tours with Walter Trout. Roland adds an extra dimension with his virtuoso playing on Hammond organ, piano and keyboards, completing the band's sound.
Whether you are an avid fan of 1970s music or just curious about these timeless classics, VELDMAN Vintage Project promises to provide a unique experience. Step back in time and be transported by the authentic sounds of an era that made music history.
