Blue Century covers 100 years, a century of exciting blues music. Starting with the early years with songs written by the great Robert Johnson, to today's new blues songs.

Blue Century spans 100 years—a century of exciting blues music. It begins with the early years and songs written by the great Robert Johnson, and continues through to today’s new blues songs. This journey also takes the audience through the golden years of the blues: the 1950s and 1960s, when blues legends such as Elmore James, Buddy Guy, and B.B. King performed at the many juke joints across the U.S. and spread the blues to countries overseas.
Blue Century’s playlist features songs by the artists mentioned above, as well as their own original compositions. Some are considered standards, while others are unusual and rarely heard on stage. Blue Century consists of Saskia de Nijs on vocals; Jos de Wilde on guitars, slide guitar, harmonica, and backing vocals; and Mark van Lieshout on guitar, acoustic bass, upright bass, and backing vocals.
