For years Wildmen Bluesband has been building their way in the Dutch blues scene. With 250 gigs...and counting...here is an experienced band on stage. The repertoire, with a lot of their own compositions with a cover here and there, clearly indicates an uncommon choice. The way Wildmen Bluesband gives their music their own twist testifies to the great inventiveness of these five musicians. Just that one more chord, minor here, seventh there, makes Wildmen Bluesband an absolutely unique band within the Dutch blues scene. During the performances of Wildmen Bluesband, the audience gets a musical spectacle that is unparalleled. With Saskia's clear, flawless voice with a volume that amazes you, she guides her men and certainly the audience through a blistering blues afternoon and/or evening. Together with slide guitarist Jos she is the eye-catcher of the band. With keyboard magician Ruud on the other side and behind her 'Ginger Baker' Rob on drums and 'master picker' Mark on bass guitar, the band goes wild in no uncertain terms. With unbridled energy and enthusiasm, the audience is torpedoed, as it were, with all kinds of musical and vocal blues forms.
