An inspiring story of resilience, happiness and identity; After losing my brother (28), who was killed as a police officer in Helmond - Nuenen, Netherlands, in 2020, a new world awaited me. My story about life, setbacks, motivation and perspectives on everything around us.

My name is Martijn Leuwerink, brother of Jeroen Leuwerink: the police officer who was brutally killed in late 2020 at the age of 28. A year later I joined talk shows like Op1, Nadia, Vandaag Inside and newspapers like Telegraaf. Now five years later, I start with the desire to personally share my story with audiences, to inspire and make others aware of their own lives.

Briefly: What happened, what awaited us as a family afterwards, how do you deal with all the media attention, national television channels and talk shows, setbacks you have to deal with, and most importantly, how is that applicable to all our lives?

Because that's what he's all about for me: to inspire others to find more resilience, happiness and different perspectives in their own lives. To make practical changes for a better life, a better world around you. We all have setbacks. Different perhaps, but at the same time similar enough that we can learn from each other.

To make a better world today than it was yesterday, that is the goal of my story. A better world, a better and happier life for all the people around me.
