Vacilón means party, feel good, have fun, have a good time, enjoy. And that's what we provide at your event!
Our uplifting Cuban music is guaranteed to get you and your guests swinging. Young and old are captivated by our music. Swinging from the first to the last note. There is a lot of spontaneity and improvisation in our music. Dance guaranteed!

Grupo Vacilón consists of 4 musicians. How do we work?
- We discuss with you how you want the evening to go. First dinner and then swinging? We play some calmer songs during dinner and build up the tempo so that later in the evening everyone is dancing. Everything in consultation.
The price is also negotiable and varies. Do you want half an hour of music or the full 2.5 hours? It is negotiable.

- Wedding party, the first dance of bride and groom? A particular salsa song in mind. Tell us.
Tell us your wishes and we'll fit a fine swinging sleeve to it.

- Corporate events/ get-togethers of companies. We loosen up the atmosphere. Make sure that if you want to talk to each other the sound is a little softer and if you want to dance we turn up the volume a little higher.

- Party in your own home or a garden party? We are happy to be there. We don't take up a lot of space as a band, but a free piece of floor where you can spread your legs for a dance is nice.

Line-up of The Band:
- Piano: Havana Conservatory-trained pianist Yox, who mixes Cuban songs with swinging jazz patterns and then harkens back to the rhythms of Cuban music in them.
- Flute: The exceptionally good improvising flutist Manuel, also from the Havana conservatory. He plays swinging rhythms, beautiful solos, sings catchy choruses and keeps the tempo high.
- Vocals: Marijke for more than 20 years familiar with Cuban music which she sings with a warm timbre. Sometimes lead, sometimes serving the piano or flute with rousing choruses. Or she sings solo the sweetest Cuban love songs. All with great feeling and love for the Cuban heritage.
- Percussion: Conga/ bongo player Guido. knows all about South American rhythms and supports the band and keeps the rhythm steady.

- We play for about 2 hours with a break.
