Bert Keurentjes Comedy brings live stand-up comedy to places where people congregate. From pubs and restaurants to theaters, community centers and even festivals: wherever there is an audience, comedy can take place. The shows are accessible, entertaining and of course funny, with plenty of room for new (and where possible local) talent.

In particular, Bert Keurentjes Comedy organizes open-mic comedy shows, in which about six amateur comedians perform for ten to twelve minutes each. A (semi-)professional MC - often Bert himself - connects the performances with practical information, jokes and audience interaction. Including intermission, an "open mic" lasts about two hours on average.

Bert Keurentjes himself is not only an organizer but also a presenter and comedian. Thanks to his stage experience, ability to improvise and feeling for audience dynamics, he is able to talk a show together like no other. As an organizer he unburdens a venue by taking care of the complete comedy part of a show. This includes putting together a balanced line-up, maintaining contact with the artists in this line-up and making sure the show runs as smoothly as possible on the day itself.
