Looking for an atmospheric and energetic duo? Lara Leaves is a professional amplified acoustic duo from the Netherlands that provides custom live music for weddings, parties, anniversaries and corporate functions. With vocals, guitar, electronic kick drum and hand percussion, we create a surprisingly full and energetic sound at an appropriate volume - atmospheric in the background and festive on the dance floor. Since 2017 we have been playing full-time at events throughout the Netherlands and always provide the perfect musical atmosphere at every moment of your day.
From atmospheric live background music during a reception, ceremony or dinner to energetic party music to get the dance floor going, we always tailor our music to your needs, the type of event and the audience.
Our secret weapon is the use of an electronic kick drum and hand percussion. This allows us as a duo to create a surprisingly full and dynamic sound, without being too loud or intrusive. Our music is always nicely balanced: drinking, dancing and socializing can coexist perfectly!
Our repertoire consists of about 500 songs and covers more than 60 years of pop history. From The Beatles to Justin Bieber and from Simon & Garfunkel to Suzan & Freek - from sing-alongs and dance floor toppers
to atmospheric background music. Requested numbers are welcome. We will gladly discuss your musical wishes in advance and during the performance we will continuously adapt to the atmosphere and the guests.
With Lara Leaves as semi-acoustic duo you can go in any direction. We are flexible, think along and always provide a musical interpretation that fits perfectly with your party, reception or wedding.

Lara Leaves can be booked for time slots of 1 to 4 hours. Within this period we provide both live music and intermission music between sets.
- 1 hour: e.g. a ceremony or one set of 60 minutes
- 2 hours: 2 sets of approx. 50 minutes
- 3 hours: 3 sets of approx. 45 minutes
- 4 hours: about 150 minutes of live music divided over 4 hours (sets of 35-40 minutes)

Perfect band for my party. Not only very nice contact beforehand but also during the party, but they set a nice atmosphere. They play nicely in the background so that everyone keeps talking to each other and when the time is right they unpack and people get onto the dance floor. Couldn't have wished for more. After listening to one song, we knew immediately: this had to be the band that would play at our wedding. And what luck that they were still available! Last winter we already got to experience them live at a living room concert. This was an incredibly fun way to not only experience their music, but also get to know their sweet, warm personalities. That made it all even more personal. The contact prior to the wedding was clear and pleasant. For the ceremony, we provided 4 songs by request and this was really beautifully executed. During the drinks, they provided the perfect atmosphere; a wonderful addition to the day. We received so many compliments on the music. What a top-notch duo! Lara Leaves played as a cover band for four hours at our wedding and knew how to create the perfect atmosphere in connection with the guests from beginning to end. The musicality of Maartje and Sander is impressive: they effortlessly switched between intimate, acoustic moments and upbeat dance numbers (and felt exactly when it was time for a quiet song or something everyone could dance to). In addition, they rehearsed some covers especially for us by request - incredibly nicely done and that made everything even more personal, especially for our opening dance. These guys were an absolute hit at our wedding and did a fantastic job! We were worried that our party would be too small to get wild, but these guys made the event incredibly fun!
