My lecture - storytelling is about self-love as an act of resistance in a world where feminism, female insecurity and inner dysregulation are central. I show how women as well as men can heal by balancing their boundaries, emotions and masculine/feminine energy. Real change begins at one place: connecting with yourself.
Self-love as Resistance
Storytelling by Ellen Worm
We live in a time when feminism is resurgent, femicide is being increasingly charted, boundaries are being crossed and many women - as well as men - are discovering that they don't really feel themselves.
In my lecture Self Love as Resistance I tell why these problems are not only social, but also deeply personal: they start where we have lost connection with ourselves.
Self-love is not a luxury.
It is an act of resistance.
A restoration of existence.
A reclaiming of inner security.
I talk about why so many women spend years pleasing, making themselves small or surviving instead of living - and why men, in turn, are often cut off from feeling, emotions, connection and softness.
The world is
shot through in masculine, ego-driven energy: control, aggression, performance. We lack empathy, embodiment and we-thinking.
The result is a society out of balance.
Real change begins with inner connection.
Without that connection, we cannot create healthy relationships, safety and true equality.
What my lecture is about
Feminism today: not as struggle, but as awareness
Femicide and the reality of female insecurity
Self-love as the foundation of existence
Feeling and daring to set boundaries
Pleasing, adapting and surviving: how that comes about
The male and female energy in every human being
Why men need to develop gentleness and women need to develop strength
Connecting with yourself as a prerequisite for connecting with others
My own story
I share my journey from survival to life:
Growing up with attachment issues due to a mother who could not be emotionally present due to loss and trauma. As a baby, I learned not to attach myself - not to my mother, not to my body, not to life.
At age 25, I collapsed.
Then began a year-long journey in which I had to relearn how to feel, embody and exist, after 15 years of surviving on willpower.
This path shaped my mission: to guide people to inner safety, self-connection and strength.
What I teach people
In my pathways and ceremonies Marrying Yourself and the engagement process, I help people:
return to themselves
become aware of pitfalls such as pleasing, losing boundaries or living in your head
quieting the mind so that the body can be felt
make contact with their male and female sides
embody their soul more deeply
come home to themselves through rituals
With meditations, visualizations, grounding and the birthright mat, I guide them to an inner place of safety and love.
What the audience brings
A deep insight into the inner and social crisis of our time
An understanding of why feminism and self-love are connected
Recognition of patterns of surviving, pleasing and losing boundaries
Inspiration to come home to yourself
Tools for inner balance and connection
A story that touches, soothes and awakens

On June 1, 2024, I had the privilege of being present at the wedding of André and Arabella, where Ellen led the ceremony. Her sparkling presence (further highlighted by her beautiful colorful outfit) and generous smile relaxed both the bride and groom and the guests. In addition to the beautiful sand ceremony where all family members poured in a color appropriate to their character and the loving and emotional handfasting that Ellen led both loosely and in a structured manner, there was also room for stories. In addition to the "how did you get to know each other" that all guests naturally loved hearing about, Ellen had delved much deeper into the things important to the bride and groom. Goddess Freya, the vision and intention of the motorcycle club and the bond with children and witnesses. Loved ones not present or deceased were also given their own space and honored. Time after time I was moved by the depth Ellen knew how to bring so naturally. Always followed by a hearty laugh, because a wedding should also be a happy affair. I am no longer planning to get married, but if I were, I would definitely ask Ellen to conduct the ceremony.

Then, as a wedding officiant, you are offered a wedding by a beautiful married couple. With the announcement that you only have to do the official part and that the entire ceremony is in the hands of Ellen Worm. A little Googling reveals that she is a pleasant person with a lot of experience in various subjects. Mainly in the field of coaching and support. To discuss marriage with her I made an appointment to have a 'live' conversation. There appears to be a friendly empathic people-person. Good conversation showing enthusiasm for the upcoming marriage that we then have to take care of together. Afterwards Ellen appears to have so much energy that she has already arranged the lion's share of the organizing and also the speech. For me, it was like coming into a prepared bed. The day of the wedding itself was a party. Watching her, I saw someone who delivered a good speech containing the points essential to the wedding couple in a respectful, sensitive and also humorous way. She also responded humorously to reactions from both the couple and the audience. I myself had no experience with handfasting and sand rituals and watched with attention how she integrated this into the wedding ceremony. Those involved were touched. (Marriage couple and several children!) All in all, should I want to do another wedding with someone, she is my choice.

Ellen guided our ceremony warmly, respectfully and with humor. Thank you Ellen. May other brides and grooms also find the happiness of having their ceremony conducted by you

Hi Ellen, the service for mom was beautiful. Warm, loving and "granny-worthy" my daughter said. Many compliments on the content. How beautiful people thought it was that her whole life was covered and not just the last few years. The content, but also the way it was presented. The peace in between with music they liked so much! And a big part came from you. Thank you for your pleasant guidance and the beautiful conversations that came about thanks to you. Kind regards,
