During the 'short and powerful' energizer (+- 10-30 min.) we will work with the famous Ka mate haka. Famous by the New Zealand rugby team among others, this haka is very energetic and powerful! After my brother and I traveled with the Turoa (Māori) family for 2 years, we were given permission to perform this haka as being non-Māori. This under the conditions that we propagate it with the respect that haka deserves and continue to tell who our teachers were.
We take a number of typical cries and movements from this famous haka and turn them into a whole. Of course the mimicry, voice and tongue sticking out will be covered! Of course we will also tell something about the background and history, but because of the duration this will be short. During the workshop the participants will be put face to face and there will be several challenging elements they will undergo. At the end of the workshop, participants will be full of energy! In the workshop, themes such as connecting, joining forces, commitment and fighting spirit naturally emerge. In addition, if the meeting has a particular theme we may be able to include it in the workshop, of course we can discuss this further!
