hi, nice of you to look at my profile. I'm Yury, Yury Meijer to be exact and I focus in particular on singing during ceremonies: so weddings, funerals etc. in short the moments of meaning in which music may carry the heart.

Singing for me is a state of unprotected openness, of naked authenticity. No performance, no role - but showing the true feeling and deepest being.
Not to impress or to perform a technical tour de force, but to make audible what is presenting itself right now - exactly as it arises and in that fragile passage it can really touch and add lustre to a moment and bring comfort and hope where words sometimes fail.

i focus particularly on singing during ceremonies: weddings, funerals. You can ask me to sing your favorite song, or that of the person you are saying goodbye to - as a personal tone for your ceremony, as a last honor, as a loving greeting.


The price given is an indication therefore always indicate the circumstances in your request as well as what you would like. So if you feel that my voice and repertoire can add value during your ceremony, please let me know in the request accompanied by the occasion and your wishes!
