Former café owner Coba sings about the Red Light District of her youth with warmth and plenty of humor.
A song show full of swinging cheerfulness and a touch of melancholy about women in the most diverse situations and moods, brimming with the free sexual mores of the ’70s.

The Hague-based Coba will captivate you with a rock-solid mix of cabaret, jazz, and songs about life, all in a cozy café atmosphere.
With the risqué and cheerful songs from the hit show *Meiden van Pleziershow*, she takes you on a journey through vanished neighborhoods, the sexual revolution, cheap and genuine love, women of easy virtue, the state of the body, and plenty of other joys and sorrows.
In addition to her own songs like *De Nylonkous*, *Wild van deze Vent*, and *De Peepshow*, she’s curated a fitting collection of songs by Holland’s best lyricists.
Enjoy songs such as “Quartier Putain,” “Het Vingerlied,” “De Rosse Buurt,” “Mijn Lijf,” “Rubensvrouwen,” “Huis der Schande,” “Seksbom,” “Wild van deze Vent,” and more.
The audience can also sing along to hits from the popular genre of that era, such as “Ik Doe Wat Ik Doe.”
“De Meiden van Pleziershow” is suitable for ages 12 and up.

Who is Coba?
During her shows, singer-comedienne Jeannette Scheffer steps into the shoes of blonde Coba, a former bar owner from The Hague’s city center. With her warm alto voice, a big heart, and an infectious boldness, she sings about life in all its facets.
She is accompanied by the Cobets, three fantastic musicians who have more than earned their stripes in the music world and who enjoy the performances just as much as Coba does.
A cozy atmosphere and interaction with her audience characterize Coba & the Cobets’ performances, alongside rock-solid music and great lyrics. Afterward, everyone goes home in high spirits!
