Country ballads sung by Wesley P
In 2012, Wesley had his own internet radio, Radio Oriënt Express, and he lived in Bad Nieuweschans in Groningen.
Through this radio, Wesley came into contact with many artists, both nationally and regionally.
Regional artists regularly came to Wesley's studio for live interviews.
One of those artists was the Groningen Duo Wim & Diana.
During the interview, Diana asked whether Wesley sometimes sang.
A friend who was present at the time said that Wesley regularly sang along and that it sounded good.
Wesley was immediately given his baptism of fire, because he had to perform something live on the radio.
Duo Wim & Diana were so enthusiastic at the time that Wesley was invited to come and record a song in their studio.
On March 12, 2012,
Wesley's first song was recorded. Thanks to the professional guidance of Diana (who gave singing lessons), more songs followed with some regularity.
After recording 2 covers, Wesley's first own song followed towards the end of spring 2012, entitled "Jij bent het meisje" written by Wesley himself on an existing German song.
Wesley released several of his own songs, and became more well-known, especially in the north of the Netherlands.
Wesley also became known in the Rotterdam region by performing at Frontier and Friends and Rondje Oude Noorden, which later became Rondje de Dijk.
In 2015 (Wesley had been living in The Hague for a few years by then) Wesley performed for the first time in Ostend, Belgium.
Wesley had a lot of success here and was asked to perform at several shows by fellow artists.
Not much later, Wesley decided to start his own shows in Ostend in collaboration with Zaal Pax.
The well-attended shows were a great success and the performances came more and more in West Flanders.
Thanks to Tina Rosita and the association Good Luck, Wesley was also invited to the province of Antwerp, where he was also a popular artist.
Wesley could regularly be found in cafés in Rijkevorsel and Herentals, but also in the Belgian province of Limburg.
After a few years, Wesley stopped singing for various reasons.
But blood is thicker than water and in 2022 Wesley started singing again.
In the summer of 2022, Wesley participated in the program the Grote Kleine Treinen Competitie on Omroep Max presented by Andre van Duin, during an interview by Andre, Wesley was asked if he wanted to sing a piece of the song Long Black Train which he had recorded a few years ago. This broadcast also made Wesley more famous.
