The men appear in sailor's clothing, and the stage turns into a kind of floating pub full of fun. They sing songs about the sea, freedom and friendship; all in Dutch, so you can enjoy singing along. Think of songs like "Free as the Wind" and "Door Weer en Wind," with lots of accordion, guitar and good beats. There are also funny bits and little stories in between, making it more than just music. It feels a bit like being in a musical through this act.

Ancora is a Dutch band that has been around since 2013 and is known for their mix of sailor songs, pirate music and Dutch-language pop. The three men in the band have been in other music projects before this, so they know how to throw a party. Their style is upbeat, cozy and a little old-fashioned - but in a fun way.
