About
Else Merit has more than earned her spurs in the Dutch music scene. As lead singer of the rock band Bad Candy, which was co-founded by Barry Hay of Golden Earring, she has already opened for Pink! at the Heineken Music Hall and performed on well-known radio and
TV shows such as 3FM, Radio 538, MTV and TMF. She received her vocal training at the prestigious Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen and the Universal Voice Institute in Amsterdam, where she earned her master's degree. In her career she has collaborated with numerous talented musicians. Nowadays she shines solo and in the duo Double Groove (with pianist) at various events - from intimate wedding ceremonies to energetic corporate parties. Else also shares her knowledge as a singing teacher at the Hanzehogeschool, at the Lucia Marthas College - Institute for Performing Arts in Groningen, and she owns her own singing school, My Vocal Academy in Groningen.

Else Merit gave a very nice performance during the Wine Festival at the A-Church in Groningen! Together with guitarist Elton she brought atmosphere through the chosen repertoire that fitted well with the festival. What was also very nice is that we could discuss the desired desired music genre. In addition, during the performance they felt the audience of the festival audience and could quickly switch to more upbeat songs when necessary songs. The build-up was therefore very nice.
