Tom Jacks UNPLUGGED is perfect for moments when you do want music but a DJ or band is not possible because of volume, budget or space. As a mood enhancer for your guests, at the entrance or as a
surprise to start the event, a saxophone player is perfect.

UNPLUGGED is saxophonist Tom Jacks' acoustic option. The repertoire is groovy, the sound is easy and the atmosphere is classy. What event would you like to add sax to?

Tom Jacks started playing saxophone at age 8, he found his way to the stage a little later through Youth Theater Hofplein in Rotterdam at age 13. There, in the bridge class, he was immediately on stage every weekend 4 times as a saxophonist in a youth theater performance. After this he began the preparatory training for the Conservatory in Rotterdam (Codarts) and completed his studies at the Conservatory in Zwolle.

During his studies, Tom Jacks continued to perform every weekend. First throughout the country with Coverbands at weddings then in horn sections with Tribute bands at every square party between Vlissingen and Enkhuizen. When Coverbands dried up in 2011 due to the financial crisis, Tom Jacks started performing with DJs.

His broad repertoire knowledge that he had built up by performing with many different bands, combined with his Conservatory studies, came in very handy, as it allowed him to play every song right along without difficulty. This was often the entertainment at the campfire, "name a song and I'll play it" and the idea for UNPLUGGED was born.

Indeed, with UNPLUGGED, the vocal melody is interpreted by the saxophone, and thus virtually any song is possible. And thus became something that is actually a guilty pleasure of Tom Jacks at a campfire, a hearty new way of performing! You sing it? Then I'll play it!

For a small amount per hour extra, this soloist can also be expanded with a guitarist, double the fun!
