Honky Tonk & Roots Revue! Covers of country, blues, rock n' roll and folk as well as hot original Americana, baby!
Banty Holler can be booked as a solo or duo act and provides an Americana/Roots show centered around classics from country, blues, rock n' roll and folk: Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, Stones, CCR, Springsteen, Steve Earle, etc as well as traditionals from Ireland and the US and original material.
You can book a solo show starting at 110 euros (depending on length of show and travel distance). I normally play 2 sets of 45-60 minutes each. A duo show costs more and is subject to the availabilty of my ace dobro/lap steel partner: Mr. Gijsbert "Thataway" Diteweg. I have professional sound equipment that is included in the price.
I can speak Dutch but find writing a pain in the ass so
this is all in English. I was raised in Chicago and moved to Europe as a teenager and have lived in Holland, Ireland, Italy, Sweden and Poland. Been making music for a good while and have years of performing, recording and radio experience. Since I have a day job I don't charge as much as most professional musicians. I really enjoy hittin the road and performing!

Banty Holler has long since become no stranger to the roots genre. Country, blues, Americana and all related musical styles, nothing is foreign to him anymore. Singer-songwriter Neile H. Coe III aka Banty Holler was born in Chicago but traded the Windy City for an adventurous life in Europe. He held various jobs in as many European cities until he landed in The Hague. A global citizen and musical troubadour, his EP 's "Tradition" (2018) and especially 2019's "Wired For Sound" were almost instant success stories. A full-blooded Chicagoan, his raw vocal timbre is a recommandation for this musical subculture. Now Coe finds his soulmates in Gijsbert Diteweg (dobro), bassist Eric Kerns, drummer Arthur Bont, Willem van der Tuuk (electric guitar) and Janos Koolen on banjo, mandolin and guitars. From the considerable single "Clementine," it moves swiftly to "Hit This Chord. Exciting banjo tunes, swinging guitar riffs and Banty's rough vocal timbre are profitable for his intended country sound. The bluesy "Alright" and the quirky acoustic roots song "40" diverge with the Honky Tonk country-inflected mandolin smartlap "Get Stupid!" and the country ballad "Color Of The Blues," the only cover on the record with George Jones credits. The instrumental 'Journeyman Reel' then contrasts with the Americana-infused '41,' the rousing boogie 'Sons Of Outrage' and the acoustic roots song 'Grass,' which is colored with handsome slide guitar. From the wistful ballad 'Take It From Me' it goes to the outlaw country track 'Constantine'. A more than worthy finale to an accordant album. 'Journeyman Songs' is a record with a vision. It gives us yet another insight into Banty Holler's rich folk, blues, rock and especially country world. Hell yeah...!

Banty Holler I would describe as "country noir It's about 'misfits and screw ups.' They sing about "looking for greener pastures" in "Get Stupid," clinging to a dream in "The Hold 'The Road,' my favorite, is about 'being footloose and fancy free...' Half a Dozen is not enough for me, would definitely love to hear more. Can't wait for the other half.

The contact was very good from the beginning, present in plenty of time to first use the BBQ with us before he started his performances, it was a framing of a Charity event to raise money for research into a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, for which he himself also made a donation, respect for that, unfortunately due to the running out of the auction there was less time left for his performances, but it was very well received and only praise for this man, respect, always welcome for a possible sequel.

What a TOP duo this is!!! from the beginning the communication was very smooth and also Neile and Gijs are very flexible and nice guests. My guests arrived later than planned and it was no problem for them to play a little later and even played a little longer. They really felt the atmosphere very well and my guests really enjoyed their music. Nice covers but also their own music. Also very cool setup with their different guitars. Really worth repeating and that will definitely happen.
