Travel Companion's living room concert is fun for a party, a special occasion or still as a cool gift. Live for the living room!
A living room concert is very personal, because the artist is closer to the audience. Therefore there is a lot of room for spontaneity and nice anecdotes. It is all a little less directed than at a big show. Most visitors find that the music 'enters' more in the intimate setting of a living room. I do play a cover once in a while, but the personal, self-written songs are the most important part of the show.
The program 2 times 40 minutes for € 195, - including travel expenses and VAT.
I've been able to give very special performances in very small as well as very large living rooms. For most people it is a special experience because the setting
and atmosphere are different from a regular concert. Do make sure you prepare your guests: if they listen with attention everyone will have a better evening. I bring all the equipment I need myself.

In a year (2021) that we were together for 5 years, I thought of a surprise for my girlfriend Vera: a private concert by our city troubadour Maarten van Veen. On a beautiful summer's day, under a magnificent red beech tree in the Worp, it was going to happen. The entourage was magnificent, but the Worp will always remain so. What made it really special this time was Maarten and his beautiful music. With a fine voice and accompanied by the subtle sounds of his guitar, he actually brought a message of hope in all his lyrics. In between the songs we had a very relaxed contact with personal stories back and forth. For a small part of our lives we had a true Travel Companion in Maarten. At the end we each received a copy of his latest CD: Station. In short: an afternoon never to be forgotten! It was great fun for Ben and Vera, together with their dog Taro, but fortunately also for Maarten the Travel Companion himself.

Maarten gave a private concert in our garden for my mother's 75th birthday. That was such a wonderful experience! It was intimate, musically perfect and what's really nice is that Maarten talks so open and disarming about his songs. It was a special experience never to forget and a beautiful gift and memory for my dear mother.

From interviews in my radio program, I already knew who Maarten was. A musician with beautiful songs, who has a heart for the world and everything in it. Being an entrepreneur myself, I really appreciate Maarten's enthusiasm and excellent way of arranging everything himself, from his performances to video clips for his songs. So when I understood that he was giving living room concerts, I signed up for one. For many of the people who attended it, it was their first acquaintance with Maarten and some of them are still talking about it after a few years!
