Alex and the Rhythms: a three-piece band consisting of Alex Gabeler (guitar and vocals), Bryan Hahury (cajon), and Tijn Nieuwstad (bass guitar). Starting out as a group of friends in a music café in the heart of Breda, they’ve taken the leap to pursue their music further.
"We want to make people happy with our music. For us, the evening is complete when the audience enthusiastically sings along to the songs from back in the day. We deliver an evening full of country and rock ’n’ roll. Music by Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, and Elvis Presley is sure to be on the set list, but we’re also no strangers to the ‘classic sing-alongs’ by artists like The Beatles, CCR, or
Guus Meeuwis.”
What we offer:
1 to 2 hours of music ranging from rock ’n’ roll and country to sing-alongs from the ’60s through the ’80s. Specific requests? We’d be happy to work with you!
Stage Requirements:
1. Stage Requirements
• Dimensions: At least 4x4 meters.
• Surface: Stable, level, and waterproof.
• Access: Free of obstacles and easily accessible for loading and unloading.
2. Power supply
• At least 2 outlets (230V) with ground-fault circuit interrupters (16A).
3. Sound equipment
Option 1: Organizer provides sound
The organizer must provide a suitable PA system appropriate for the venue (café or hall):
• PA system: Suitable for 100 people
• Monitors: At least 2, preferably with separate mixing capabilities.
• Mixing console: At least 2 XLR inputs.
• Microphones and DI boxes:
o 1 vocal microphone (Shure SM58 or comparable).
o 1 microphone for the cajon.
o 1 DI box/speakers for the semi-acoustic guitar.
Option 2: We provide the sound system
• We’ll bring a complete sound system, suitable for a café or venue.
• We’ll arrive at least 1 hour before the show starts for setup and soundcheck.
• Venue requirements:
o Loading and unloading area near the stage.
o Unobstructed access to the stage for equipment.
4. Soundcheck
• At least 30 minutes are needed for the soundcheck, immediately after setting up the sound system

I had booked Alex & the Rhythms for my birthday which we celebrated. From booking to the party had good and clear contact. Alex was on time! This was very nice. We could have a chat and I think this gave both parties a lot of peace. Alex certainly thinks along with us before and during the party. In short, Alex is really a fantastic singer and you can also absolutely great guitar and harmonica play. Unfortunately, you had to perform for a small audience because many people were unable to attend. I can not wait until the next party where Alex and his band absolutely must be present. We have come to love you guys from the far north. If I could give you 10 stars you would get it immediately. But you guys are definitely golden. Hope to see you soon. Lots of love from all of us
