In April 2019 it was announced that Gert would stop as Samson's owner but that he would have found a new owner. Fans had to wait until the end of that year but there were many names going around who would (possibly) be the new boss. In the very first farewell show it was finally announced that Marie, the daughter of, would take on the job as boss.
However due to the Corona pandemic(measures), plans were made differently, the many farewell shows planned in 2020 were eventually cancelled. But the children did not have to wait for the new shows because a new program (Samson and Marie) and new songs were recorded in the summer of 2020.

For anyone who is a fan of Samson this is an absolute must. We ended the day with happy, tired but very happy children after we thoroughly enjoyed the meet and greet, lovely people they are and without a doubt highly recommended if you want to plan a nice surprise (for whatever occasion).

Samson and Marie came in and our Bram looked full of attention. He could quietly come close, smile and shake hands. The best part was how Samson made little jokes that made everyone laugh. Our son kept talking about it all day and everyone visibly enjoyed it. Really a nice addition to his birthday party.
