We perform originals and the occasional cover (Tom Petty/ Paul Simon). Our songs are narrative and we ask you to listen and be immersed. We would love to come play in your pub, theater or living room to give you a beautiful, profound evening.
Picture this: an emotional musical journey that takes you to unexpected places. A sonically meandering trip that marries the exotic and the familiar. The Story You Tell repertoire is co-written by 5 seasoned musicians in an (admittedly cramped) home studio.
We're talking really democratic co-writing: Each member has an equal contribution and the right to veto. Any musical or lyrical idea brought to the studio sparks a concerted attempt to make it flourish into a full-fledged song. It may sound like an impossibly laborious process but, on the contrary, it leads to authentically unique songs, meticulously arranged with enough leeway for improvisation.
The songs sound simultaneously contemporary and fresh. Not shunning the dark sides of life: Smile, Smile, Smile (ironically) is
about toxic positivity. Get Lost is about daydreams and boredom, whilst Many Would not Come tells a story about a disillusioned guardian angel rejected by those would actually benefit from salvation. Needless to say, love is covered as well, for example, in "Worlds ruled by fools." Story You Tell is a one-of-a-kind band with their own distinct sound.

Jeroen did very well with Paul Simon songs. He performed in the afternoon. There was not much audience then but the performance was great!

Jeroen played at our wedding and that was a great success! Jeroen is a skilled artist with a lot of experience and the ability to feel the atmosphere of the day. In the preparation of our wedding it was easy to arrange things with him, he had everything well organized and during our wedding he took care of exactly the atmosphere we had in mind with his guitar playing and singing. His repertoire of songs fits great with a relaxed, romantic and intimate atmosphere. During the party as a groom I sang a song for my bride under his musical accompaniment. Partly thanks to his experience and musicality this became a icing on the cake! If you are looking for an excellent guitarist and singer for your wedding, Jeroen is the man!

L.S. On the 28th of July Jeroen Timmermans gave us a living room concert. He has played various songs by the Beatles, Paul Simon, Don Mclean, REM, Eagles, and his own work. Both his guitar playing and his vocals are very good. There was a 40 stubborn audience, and the verdict was unanimous, a fine performer who managed to hit the right tone. In short, everyone was enthusiastic, and for us as organizer it was a success.

Jeroen's guitar playing and vocals are wonderful to listen to. My parents had the wish to revive John Denver and Simon and Garfunkel at the birthday party in the garden and they succeeded. He himself had some matching songs in this genre, super fun ! Jeroen is nice and quiet in his doing which was also very nice.

On King's Day a coffee concert organized at a small coffee kiosk in Amsterdam. The location of the kiosk and the terrace at the harbor is super, so Jeroen was in a tough environment. His sweet songs and sincere performance came into their own. Next time we hope for better weather (it was a bit cold) and more audience. Jeroen was relaxed and supple, in short a great artist!
