We are a five-piece band that plays Brazilian music by artists such as Djavan, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, and Gilberto Gil.
Outros Lugares ("Other Places") takes you on a journey to Brazil. To the streets of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, along the emotions of Brazilians. Joy, passion and melancholy, intensely interpreted in sambas, bossas and ballads, by Caetano Veloso, Djavan and Chico Buarque, among others. Much of the music we play was made during the military dictatorship in the 1970s. Hidden in the poetic lyrics, woven into the beautiful melodies, there is often a message of resistance.
Our performance consists of 2 sets of 45 minutes. If desired, we can also play 3 sets of 30 minutes.
Other variations are possible by arrangement.
