Dennis de Weerd is the folk voice from Hoogeveen, grown up with the pirate feeling and the life song. Dennis de Weerd is a Dutch-speaking singer from Hoogeveen, known in the north as the singing spring roll farmer. He performs life songs with a pirate edge and has performed at regional stations and party venues over the years. His debut single "Dance With Me" was released in 2007, followed by "My Angel. good" (2008), "Still Young" (2017) and "Young, how did your life go?" (2018).
Music runs in the family: his mother Grietje Scholten scored a pirate hit in 1983 with "I'm Not Lonely and Alone." As a teenager, Dennis himself was active as a broadcast pirate; And was regularly taken off the air.
