A nostalgic performance featuring vocal and instrumental music with a nod to revue, dry comedy to romantic duets from classical, jazz, pop and cabaret. Professionally played sung and played with violin, guitar, piano and accordion in costumes and props. A feast for the eyes and ears.

THE DIVA AND THE TROUBADOUR

Some time ago they , as former conservatory buddies spontaneously on the banks of the Maas in Rotterdam picked up the thread together for a theatrical musical concept, in which romantic light classical, familiar nostalgic and cabaretesque music alternate.


They offer this performance in the Netherlands where they have been touring for several years in small and medium-sized venues. No performance is the same. Waldin and Dries present instrumentals, songs, famous arias and well-known cabaret interrupted by unexpected skits, all with costumes and props. Instruments: violin, piano, accordion and various types of guitars.
The performance can be presented completely acoustically in small venues; possibly with small amplification of own PA system.
New: the Opera della Strada. A colorful medley of romantic well-known opera arias transformed by our duo into a motley chaotic scene.

Waldin Roes:
well-known soprano, violinist, actress and presenter, including the Sunday morning concerts in Hall De Doelen Rotterdam, Ben Cramer and Het Groot Niet te Vermijden-Band.

Dries Oomen:
musician known in Oosterhout and Breda and former VO music teacher and private vocal coach: voice, guitar, piano, accordion


We both have a completed Bachelor degree in Music Conservatory Codarts Rotterdam
